I have always done this technique which chalk but recently learned how to use ink. I hope you give it a try.
1. Start with your inks:
2. Get a container with cold water, it doesn't have to be full, just enough water to cover your paper
3. Add alcohol ink to the water. You can mix as many colors as you wish, just dont add to many to make it muddy. I usually use three. If you dont have the ink you can use colored chalk.
4. Drop your paper into the water and ...
Of course there are always rules (Helen said so)
These must all be new challenges, only challenges you create in 2012 will count.
NO combining of challenges.
You can do a layout, card, tag or altered item for almost all of the challenges. If something is specific we will let you know.
Post your challenge in the appropriate challenge.
You can do each challenge more than once if you want.
For each challenge you complete your name will go in a drawing and the winner will win this:
Jackie ...

I will watch Helen words for her.
January 7, 1913 Patent #1, 049,667 was granted to William Burton for the manufacture of gasoline. Instead of doing a layout or a card, this time make a tag. It could be an arch tag, square tag, doesn't really matter but on this tag you need to have a car or truck.
Here are a couple I made:
January 16, 1984, Jim Henson's copyright claim on "Kermit, the Muppet" was renewed. In honor of Kermit, let's see some animals on your layout or card.
Be here next Friday night for a very fast and fun game.
So this January 2012: Inventions!! Is this basically a month long online event? So all the challenges you have the month to complete? I just don't want to make any assumptions and then look like a total fool (I'd rather save that introduction to my lack of brain cell disorder for another time
).
January 15, 1861 E.G. Otis was issued patent #31,128 for "improvement in hoisting apparatus" (safety elevator). For this layout, please show some movement.
Pick your tissue paper.
Then cut out circles, I found that punches dont work really well unless
you keep it folded in multiple layers. I
used my sizzix to cut them out, you can also hand cut them, you dont have to be super accurate. You need to have 3 different sizes.
Put the layers together.
The more layers you put on the tighter your flower will be. I used 2 bigs one, 3 medium ones and 3 or 4
small one.
Put a hole in the center and then add a brad. It doesnt ...
You will only need 2 things:

ARE YOU READY???
Here is the prize

24. Movement
7. Physicist
81. Legs

Step 3:
Cover the ink with embossing powder
Step 4:
Heat set the embossing powder
Step 5:

Cotton pads were first invented around the early 1970s. The first
